20 km. Last days walking.
O pedrouzo to Santiago de Compostela
Last night was so noisy as there was a cafe directly under our window, so not much sleep.

Started walking early in the dark and mist so used my head torch for the first time.
It was a walk through eucalyptus forests and past an airport which was quite scary as we couldn’t see the planes until they were right above us.
The walk was supposed to go to the Monte de gozo where you have a good view of the cathedral in Santiago from a monument.
BUT it was in mist and the monument that was there last time I walked was no longer.
Then a 5 km walk through the city which seemed never ending and extremely busy.
We went to the pilgrim office to get our compostela and then to the nearest cafe to eat and celebrate with a glass of wine, and was joined by our Camino uncles ( and the waiter???)
All over the city was a lot of hugging, cheering and congratulating but with a lot of people on crutches or limping and walking very gingerly.
Such a lovely atmosphere though.
Went to 7.30 mass in Spanish so didn’t understand a word except the odd pilgrim and Camino .
Took some more last photos and off for supper.
